What you'll need

  • Tomato sauce
  • Parmesan
  • Tagliatelle
  • Salt and oil
  • Onions
  • Basilicum and cherry tomatoes (optional)

What you'll do

Take a wide pan and sautee your onions in hot oil for a few minutes. When they turn transparent, pour in the tomato sauce and some basilicum leaves and cherry tomatoes. Lower the heat to medium and let the sauce reduce.

In the meantime, boil water with some salt and add in the pasta. Cook until 'al dente'. Take the pasta out of the water and simmer it in the sauce for half a minute, coating it with the (hopefully thick by now...see previous point 'reduce') tomato sauce.

Plate your pasta on a bed of sauce and twist it nicely into a delicious pasta nest. Grate plenty parmesan on top and serve!
