Saladless Salmon Salad
What you'll need
- Mango
- Lemon
- Salmon
- Nice full grain bread
- Egg
- Pepper and oil
- Absolutely no salad
What you'll do
For the 🥭 garnish: Cut the mango in small cubes. Cut the salmon in chunky cubes. Cut the bread also in cubes, and tumble in a bowl with plenty of olive oil and pepper. Put the bread on an oven tray (use oven paper to avoid making a mess) and bake for 10 minutes at 200 degrees until they are crusty and brown.
For the 🍋 dressing: I use just olive oil and half a lemon, squeezed, as this makes both the salmon and the mango pop. If you want a real dressing, cocktail sauce would be great for this. Or some wasabi if you're into spices.
Optionally, a sunny side up 🍳 egg in a cast iron skillet with some nice pepper and rosemary tops the saladless salad off for extra energy
For the 🥗 salad: fuck salad. I tried to make it tasty. I really tried. But to be honest it seems the only way to make a healthy salad tasty is by submerging the salad with a metric ton of incredibly greasy dressing. Seriously, look any caesar salad recipe up - what you taste is the dijion mayo and worcestershire sauce, not the fucking salad. So stay healthy, eat proteines like egg and salmon, fuck salad.
